Rustic, Hand Forged 1700's Cape Cod Inspired Colonial Lighting

$350.00

This beautiful and unique candle holder is modernized antique reproduction of a candle holder from Cape Cod circa 1700-1720 (the upright was slightly reduced in length form the original).

This candle holder is forged from raw materials (not scrap). The piece is forged, by hand, utilizing traditional blacksmithing techniques. The 3 legged base and upright were forge welded from multiple pieces and has a lovely, hand forged brass rosette secured to the base. The candle box holds 4 candles and is secured to the upright with 2 springs (it's fully adjustable). The piece is finished with a traditional beeswax finish that is applied over a carbon rich flame. This table light is the perfect addition and/or gift for any collector wishing to utilize non-fabricated/traditional heirlooms that are early American/period style.

The base is 11 inches wide and the upright is 27.5 inches in height (not including candle height). The overall height is 31.75 inches.

This item was proudly forged by Jacob King of Tall Pine Forge in Holly Springs, NC (USA). The piece is stamped with my makers mark (TPF J.King) and date the piece was forged (28Apr2022).
