This beautiful and unique rustic candle holder is an 18th century, antique reproduction that is hand forged from raw materials (not scrap metal) by artist/blacksmith Jacob King. The entire piece is forged, by hand, utilizing traditional blacksmithing techniques. The 3-legged base was forge welded from 2 separate pieces, while the upright and spring have been forge welded together. The upright spring allows for holding a piece of rush (under gentle spring tension) to light the candle. The piece is finished with a traditional beeswax finish that is applied over a carbon rich flame. The table light is the perfect addition and/or gift for any collector wishing to utilize non-fabricated, period correct, traditional heirlooms that capture the essence of early America.

The base is approx 9 inches wide and the upright is 14 inches tall (17 inches OAL).

This item was proudly forged by Jacob King of Tall Pine Forge in Holly Springs, NC (USA). The piece is stamped with my maker's mark (TPF J.King) and date piece was forged (03Oct2022).
